How to Train Blogs and Social Media on Addlly AI
Training Addlly AI on your existing blogs and social posts helps the platform understand how your brand communicates in practice. By learning from representative examples, Addlly AI can better reflect your tone, structure, messaging style, and content patterns across future outputs.
This step builds on your onboarding and brand validation by giving Addlly AI stronger examples to learn from. It can improve content quality across long- and short-form formats while providing a more consistent, AI-ready foundation for SEO, GEO, and social media workflows.
Use this guide to set up Blog Training and Social Media Training inside your workspace.
Step 1: Open the Brand Training section
- 1. Log in to your Addlly AI dashboard.
- 2. Navigate to Brand Training in the left-hand menu.
- 3. You’ll see two core modules:
- Blog Training
- Social Media Training
These serve as your brand’s “voice calibration centers,” helping Addlly AI understand the tone, style, and formatting you use across long-form and short-form content.
Before selecting any examples, take a moment to review the content already available in each section. The goal is to choose material that best reflects how your brand writes today, including tone, structure, audience focus, and messaging style. Starting with strong examples will give Addlly AI a better foundation for future content creation.
Step 2: Train Addlly AI with existing blogs
Blog training teaches Addlly AI how your brand structures ideas, transitions between sections, provides explanations, creates authority, and expresses personality within long-form content.
- 1. Click View Details under Blog Training.
- 2. A list of blogs from your website will appear. Select up to five blogs that best represent your brand voice.
- 3. Click Train Blog with Existing Blog to teach the AI Agent your brand style.
Why five blogs?
Five samples provide enough variety for Addlly AI to learn your voice patterns without overwhelming the system with inconsistent examples.
Step 3: Use AI-generated blog ideas if you do not have blog content yet
If you’re a new brand or haven’t published blogs yet, you can still train Addlly AI by generating your first set of training blogs.
Steps:
- 1. In GEO Topic or SEO Topic, click Generate AI Ideas.
- 2. Click Generate Blog to create draft pieces.
- 3. Review each AI-generated blog for tone accuracy and brand alignment.
- 4. Select the most accurate drafts and click Validate Blog Training.
This gives Addlly AI a starting point for blog training, even if your existing content library is limited. It also helps the platform learn from approved examples that support both traditional search and AI visibility goals.
Tip: Repeat the process for both SEO and GEO blog training to cover traditional search AND AI search visibility.
Step 4: Train Addlly AI with social media posts
Social media training helps Addlly AI reproduce your brand voice when generating captions, hooks, hashtags, carousel scripts, and short-form content.
This module is based on real posts pulled from your social platforms.
a. Access Your Posts
- 1. In the Social Media Training tab, click View Details.
- 2. Addlly will display recent posts from LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook.
b. Segment and Select
- 1. Review the segments (audience or topic groups) created from your brand analysis.
- 2. Add new segments if your brand communicates with multiple audiences (e.g., enterprise, SMB, consumers, partners).
- 3. For each platform, select three posts per segment that capture your ideal tone and voice.
Step 5: Validate your training
Click Validate Training for each platform (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook) to complete the social media training.
Once you have selected your blog and social media examples, click Validate to save your training choices. This confirms which examples Addlly AI should use as references for future content generation.
Validating your training helps ensure the platform learns from examples that best reflect your current brand voice, structure, and messaging. It also gives Addlly AI a stronger foundation for creating more consistent outputs across blogs, social posts, and other content formats.
Step 6: Continue to content creation
After your training is validated, you can move on to creating content inside Addlly AI with a stronger set of brand references in place. At this stage, the platform has more context around how your brand writes across both long-form and short-form formats.
This can help improve the quality and consistency of future outputs, whether you are generating blogs, social posts, or other content types inside the platform. As your content library grows, you can return to the training sections anytime to refine the examples Addlly AI learns from and keep your outputs aligned with your latest brand direction.
Quick Tips
- Choose the right examples: ensure they reflect how your brand communicates today, not just content that performed well in the past. This gives Addlly AI a clearer view of your current voice, structure, and messaging style.
- Prioritize quality over quantity: a smaller set of strong, consistent examples is usually more useful than a larger mix of content that varies in tone or direction.
- Revisit your training over time: updating your examples helps Addlly AI stay aligned with your latest brand direction and improve future outputs across different formats.
FAQs
What kind of blog posts work best for training?
The best blog posts for training are the ones that clearly reflect how your brand writes today. Choose examples with strong structure, consistent tone, and messaging that still match your current positioning, rather than older posts that no longer reflect your direction.
Should I use recent content or top-performing content for training?
Recent content is the best choice if it reflects your current messaging and tone. High-performing content can still be useful, but only if it matches how you want Addlly AI to generate content going forward.
Do I need a mix of formats in my social training examples?
It can help. If your brand uses different post styles, such as educational, conversational, or promotional formats, including a representative mix can give Addlly AI a more complete understanding of how you communicate across social channels.
Does training help Addlly AI understand both topic preferences and tone?
Yes. Training examples do more than show writing style. They also help Addlly AI recognize the kinds of topics, angles, and message patterns your brand tends to prioritize across blogs and social content.
How do I know if my training set is too broad?
If your selected examples vary widely in tone, structure, audience, or purpose, the set may be too broad. A strong training set should feel connected by a clear brand voice, even if the content covers different topics or formats.
Does blog and social training support AI visibility goals?
Yes. Consistent training helps Addlly AI generate content that better reflects your brand’s themes, language, and positioning. That stronger consistency can support a more AI-ready content foundation across SEO, GEO, and social publishing workflows.
